Alexandra Ungern-Sternberg

Alexandra Ungern-Sternberg, born March 3, 1967, Recife – Pernambuco / Brazil.

Decay is strictly linked to an interest in degeneration, aging, and the passage from life to death. By photographing vegetables from the moment they were fresh to when they became decomposed, it is possible to follow this life cycle until the fungus and mold take the main role. They represent a continuation of an ending life.
